As we were getting ready for church Sunday I was telling R how handsome he is. He looked at me like I was very confused and said "No, No Momma I not Samson!".
RK eats everything and is a girl of few words! However, she caught us way off guard the other night when she handed me a wheat thin and proudly said "Here Momma, I not like it!" Yeah RK!
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Psalms 19:14

Sunday's Coming
We had the most amazing Good Friday service at church today. It was unlike any service I have ever been to. It was called Tenebrae which means "darkness". We were there to experience the darkness and suffering of the cross. It was very moving and touched me in a way that only God can! I have heard the Crucifixion Story my whole life, but Friday I experienced it first hand and actually realized my role in the whole story. We examined several scenes from the garden where Jesus prayed, to the arrest, the betrayal, and crucifixion. It was moving beyond words. We took the Lords Supper and then had 3 minutes of silence to represent the 3 days before He rose. When this was over we watched the video that I posted below. I wanted to share it and remember it to share with my children when they are bigger. It really just reveals the reason for our hope. Praise God for that Sunday when My Savior rose from the grave!

Easy Like Sunday Morning
My babies seemed to look so big this morning before church! I just had to take some quick pictures and as you know trying to get pics of two at a time is IMPOSSIBLE no matter how quick you think you can snap a camera. Trying to get myself,K, and 2 children ready for church is no easy task! Especially, when you are like us and choose to go the 8:30 service.
The song "Easy Like Sunday Morning" is pretty much the complete opposite of what I would use to describe our Sunday mornings. Its not that the kids are bad or we cant get it together its just a JOB. However, the whole time R is saying "We going to church momma?" or singing his songs or even when he yells at RK that its HIS church makes me proud! Our Sunday mornings may be a challenge sometimes, but I wouldn't trade them for anything.

| And now Sassy Britches herself! If she wasn't so stink'in cute she would definitely get more timeouts and spankings! Doesn't she just look like she is trying to figure out what she can get into next? |

Excuse me, do not be afraid
Hopefully, R's little issue is all cleared up and he is all better. Everyone went to school and work today without any phone calls telling us to come pick him up! YEAH!!! K stayed home Tues. with him and I stayed yesterday. We made a quick trip to the pharmacy to get some medicine the nurse told us about. As I was standing talking to the pharmacist R kept saying "hey, hey" Now we have taught him to say excuse me and I guess I should be proud of what happened next, but I don't think the pharmacist thought it was as cute as I did. Finally R said "Excuse me!" and the pharmacist said "yes". R looked at him as serious as anyone you have ever seen and said "this place got any toys?" I about fell out right there! I could not believe he asked that. Again the pharmacist was not much for small talk let alone 3 year old small talk. I am glad he isn't a pharmacist at a children's hospital because he would definitely have to get his giggle box checked. I mean seriously who wouldn't have thought that was cute??!!
It was an eventful afternoon with storms coming through. K was still at work so he picked up the kids on his way home. It was really looking a little scary outside! I knew he wouldn't want his truck parked outside the garage with the threat of hail. So I quickly went to work rearranging the garage and moving the four wheeler to the back. When I got to the backyard I thought I should pick up the hundreds of toys that decorated the entire yard. I don't know why but I just had visions of R's dump trucks or RK's horse flying through the back window of the house. I know it probably would never happen, BUT they were calling for strong winds so I took action.
I was finishing up when K got home and R came running through the house yelling "Hey, thats my cool four wheeler!" Then when K got on to move it closer to the house R was going nuts "Wow Daddy,Wow Daddy!" Just hearing the sound the wheeler got him all excited.
As we started working on dinner the thunder and lightening got a little more frequent. R sat at the bar and kept covering his ears every time it thundered. He said it scared him and I told him it would be ok. I asked him who we could ask to help us if he was scared and DING DING DING he said JESUS!! (made this mommas heart very proud!) I said yes, you are right you just ask him for help and he will help you. He said momma I ask Jesus to make me not scared anymore!! I pray each day that the things we are teaching R and RK sink in. I thank God for little signs like this that encourage us to keep on teaching Jesus to our babies!
In case your are wondering RK was entertaining herself (entertainment=food in her world) with some applesauce! She is a mess.

FEED ME!
RK decided she didn't want to have anything to do with her booster seat this evening. So of course she won and sat at the table just like Bubs! I must say she did a really good job feeding herself, but did I really think she would let any food go to waste? I think NOT!

Big Girls Don't Cry
Well,I think this picture pretty much sums up how RK felt when she woke up from her nap. It's pretty funny that Bubs is the one who is sick but she is the one crying. I think she was missing her Daddy!
It is so neat to me to watch the difference in R and RK. People have always said that girls are a lot different and we are seeing it first hand. I think that is the best part of watching them is to see their unique personalities. Don't get me wrong R can throw his fair share of fits, but I think she can stick that lip out a little farther. K says she gets that from her momma. I'm not so sure about that!
Oh, that my head were a spring of water and my eyes a fountain of tears! Jeremiah 9:1

Pearly Whites
RK has developed a HUGE fascination with her toothbrush. She is constantly wanting to "beesh teef". It has even been so bad some morning we have had to carry it with us un the car to school. I went to the grocery store the other day and for her "prize" she got a 2 pk of toothbrushes! You would have thought I had bought her a pony. I must admit it is very cute to watch her clean those little chompers. I think the best so far though was when she decided she needed to "beesh" her baby's teeth.
So I am guessing she is going to have the cleanest teeth in her class and hopefully one day grow up to be a dentist.
Strength and dignity are her clothing, And she smiles at the future. Proverbs 31:25

Just feelin' yucky!
"I just feelin yucky, momma!" Thats what "R" had to tell me when I picked him up yesterday from school. They had called to tell me he was having some "issues" if you know what I mean! So needless to say we have been dealing with the "BIG D" all night and this morning. FUN FUN! I think he is fine just a little bug. Papaw is on his way over now with some football player drinks to help his tummy. (gatorade) Of course all this would happen when K is out of town!! Just another day in the life! Enjoy your Saturday!

Let that little light shine!
K is out of town this weekend and left on his birthday. We have been talking alot about birthdays recently. As R was having his lunch today he decided to make his daddy a bday cake! Yep, you guessed it that would be an upside down cheeseburger with fries stuck in it! Isn't he a GENIUS!!

Load Limits
This is my attempt to start an electronic scrapbook for my children. I have tried scrap booking with all the paper and tools. However, it is just turns into a huge mess with a 3 year old and a 20 month old around. I think I can actually handle this method and keep my sanity.
If you know me you know that I LOVE talking about the sweet things my children say and do. It is an understatement to say our life is never boring. Our children keep us on our toes and I wouldn't have it any other way! Three years ago if you would have told me I would be the mother to a 3 year old and a soon to be 2 year old I would have thought you had lost your mind. BUT thank God for his grace that is truly greater than all our sin! Its God's grace that defines our family. I am so thankful that His grace has no load limits! He has blessed us beyond measure and we definitely have the Dump trucks and Hair bows to prove it.
Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! 2 Corinthians 9:15
